Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!!!

... just not at the expense of my calorie goals ... lol ... There were celebrations all over our building ... in light of Mardis Gras 2009!!! ... and I mean people brought in some of everything!!! Deserts and dishes galore ... I walked into my office this morning ... mentally, already declaring defeat ... effortlessly ready to scrap any good habits and/or restraint ... and potluck food is the worst, b/c it just lingers, it doesn't get taken away ... until the end of the day or it's empty ... lol

But ... then it hit me ... I said, "Self?" .... my self said, "Huhm?" ... lol ... I don't have to do this!!! .... The food is here, but it's not a requirement to eat ... I walked down to the café to grab a gr. chicken salad ... ate downstairs (to not become distracted), and instead of taking the elevator ... went on a quest to go up the steps of our building to the midpoint ... 500 ... and I tell you ... when I got done ... and back to my office ... after devouring a 33oz bottle of Dasani ... and redeeming my normal breathing pattern ... I had NO desire whatsoever to touch ... a single item on those tables ... lol ... aahhhhh ... the beauty of distraction! I implemented the figurative exercise of what's MORE important ... It's time to partake in those things that will continue to elevate my will and ... furthermore ... desire ... to finish ... It's one small step seemingly, but that's what it's about ... taking things a decision at a time ... a day at a time ... and a pound ... at a time :) I feel good, I'm happy the market closed up today ... too =) ...

p.s. I don't want to see/hear nobody I know, in the streets soliciting "Jerry" beads ... lol
