It raises an eyebrow (which I just got threaded. sorry, back on subject) as to why the allocation of subsidies (government assistance) aren't leveraged to meet the standards of its own nutritional recommendations? Or (devil's advocate), as the bottom line of most pivotal decisions are economically-focused and ROI-minded ... are funds simply placed respective to their demand?
Now I'm no vegan (yet), or PETA fan - so this isn't an argument that meat and dairy conglomerates are evil ... but 0.37% for vegetable and fruit production ... makes one wonder. ~PC
